artistic pet portraits for pet obsessed people

About

We believe that photographs should be a part of our daily lives - a tangible reminder of a time that was precious and dear, and people and pets who are loved and missed.

We believe the impact pets leave in our lives is far too important to trust solely to technology.

We believe photography showcases, deepens, and memorializes the unique bond between owner and pet.

Thank you for trusting us with your most valued friend, family member, and confidant: your pet.

we create art with your pet

We believe that a Family's memories should be preserved & passed down; reminisced over and treasured.

Adult me hasn't changed too much from that.  I still love helping any animal I can.  I have spent more than a few hours trying to coax a ferrel cat out of bushes behind a Chick-fil-a by offering my own chicken strips, no less!  My house is the one with all the bird feeders out front.  I have tons of stories of finding random cats and dogs and searching for owners or new homes.  To say animals are a huge part of my life is an understatement.

So I completely understand the desire to capture the moments you have with your pets.  I look for the things that makes your pet special to you, and bring those to life with artwork that lives on your walls and coffee tables for years to come.

Hiya, I'm Allie.

I am obsessed with my pets.  My 4 dogs are basically my children and I cannot imagine my life without them.

I grew up in Upstate NY as a middle child of five with my dog as my best friend.  That soon expanded to cats, rabbits, and another little girl who was just as obsessed with animals as I was.  The two of us volunteered at animal shelters, saved (or tried to save) baby bunnies, collected cats, and took our dogs on our all adventures.

01. How does a session with you work?

Planning, planning, more planning, and some magic.

Your session is as unique as your pet.  We tailor everything to your needs including location!  After the session, we review and edit each photo.  We remove leashes, do some composites, and create your pet-centric works of art.  About two weeks after your session, we have a Reveal & Ordering Appointment for you to see your images and choose your artwork.

You can read all the details on this page, or feel free to contact us and schedule your FREE consultation!

02. How much does it cost?

Sessions require a $550 retainer to book.  This goes 100% towards the artwork you decide to purchase.

We keep everything super simple - you pay for what you love, and leave what you don't.  Our clients typically spend anywhere from $1800 - $5000+, but you can build your own artwork package with exactly what you love.

You can view our investment guide to learn more or book your coffee-shop-consult here!

03. How many pets can I bring to the session?

As many as you want (practically speaking)!  We aim to produce 25 - 30 stunning images for you to review during your Reveal & Ordering Appointment.  This is based on single-pet sessions.  The more you decide to bring, the more images you will end up reviewing, the more choices you will have for artwork.

This just means that you should expect your overall investment to go up with each pet you bring.  It doesn't have to, but we see multi-pet paw-rents typically end up spending around $900 - $2500+ per pet.

And, speaking from experience, there is usually one pet out of the bunch that is more outgoing and in love with the camera.  If one of your pets instantly came to mind - that's the one!  We will typically have more images of that pet over the others, but we try to get an even amount of everyone!

04. Can I be in the photos with my pets?

Of course!

But if you are, we suggest going above and beyond!  Buy that gown, rent that tux, borrow those amazing heels from your bestie.  We provide hair and makeup and work with the best team around!

In our planning session, we will determine exactly how to include you and your family within your pet portrait session.

What to see some examples? Check out our Pet & You gallery to view other family and pet artwork we have done.

05. What if my pet has to be leashed at all times?

No problem.  We actually bring a thin but strong leash that we easily remove from the images in the post production process.  If you prefer your own leash, we can do that as well.

If you want to check out our post production skills, visit the before and after gallery!

06. do my pets have to be well behaved?

No.  In fact, while your pet might have some basic training, taking them to new locations and having them meet some strangers can be challenging no matter how well trained they are!

We work with every type of pet and promise we can figure out the best way to create art with yours!

A lot of what we do involves composite photography.  This is where we take more than one image and digitally stitch them together.  To see that process in action, check out our composite gallery!

07. How do I prepare for the session?

This will depend on what we are creating.  During the planning phase of your portrait experience, we determine what needs to get done and how it can be accomplished.

You might be hoping for a stunning outdoor portrait of your favourite cat, but she is currently a couch potato and hates the outdoors.  Planning for your session might be getting your feline friend used to the park by slowly introducing them to being outside and providing high-end treats (tuna or salmon) when they are outside!

Whatever we end up deciding, you will have a detailed game plan to follow!

08. How do I design my artwork?

We actually design it for you!  We provide a full-service photography experience - from plan to print!

During your Reveal & Ordering Appointment, we determine what you are looking for a build your wall art, album design, and more to fit your artistic style.

Looking for inspiration or see what we can do?  Check out our art work guide or see some pre-made wall art designs!

09. What is included in the session?

Since we are really about the artwork you take home, each session is tailored to you and your needs.  Your session might include hair & makeup if you plan on being in the shoot with your pets, or it might mean getting a local dog trainer to tag along if we are planning for some intense action shots with multiple pups.  It might be a single hour of shooting, it might be more!

No matter what your needs, it is all included in the session!  There are no additional costs for time, locations, or number of pups.  Sessions require a $550 retainer that goes directly towards the artwork you choose to take home.

You can see the price breakdown for artwork on our Investment page or check out our Session Info page to see how a session works!
